Michael Scott is a dedicated Workers’ Compensation attorney at Kogan & DiSalvo, bringing nearly a decade of litigation experience to the firm. His career spans both plaintiff and defense work, giving him a unique perspective on how insurance companies operate and how to maximize results for injured workers.
Michael has represented clients in a wide range of personal injury and workers’ compensation matters, including automobile accidents, workplace injuries, slip and falls, and premises liability cases. He has handled every stage of litigation—from intake through settlement or trial—conducting hundreds of depositions, motion hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
Known for his skillful negotiations and relentless advocacy, Michael is committed to helping injured workers receive the benefits and compensation they deserve.
In addition to his courtroom work, Michael is deeply engaged in leadership and community service. He is a Fellow of the Florida Bar’s Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit and County Mediator, a Florida Qualified Arbitrator, and Secretary of the Young Professionals of the Palm Beaches, Chamber of Commerce (2024–2025). He also mentors young professionals through the Florida Bar and the University of Connecticut Florida Alumni Association.
Outside of the office, Michael is passionate about health and wellness. He enjoys meditation, yoga, gardening, basketball, tennis, golf, and traveling—bringing the same discipline and focus from his personal life into his advocacy for clients.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in History and Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Michael is admitted to practice law in Florida, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.
