Paul Silvestri’s journey began with a solid foundation—an undergraduate degree from Florida State University in 2006, followed by the attainment of his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2009.
Paul’s expertise expanded when he joined a prominent civil defense firm in St. Petersburg, where he represented some of Florida’s largest insurance companies. This experience provided him with a unique perspective on both sides of legal battles and a deep understanding of the intricacies of civil defense. Paul later joined a personal injury law firm, where he has successfully secured tens of millions of dollars in compensation for his clients. Notably, in two cases, insurance companies willingly conceded to his clients’ claims, underscoring his skillful advocacy now as part of the Kogan & DiSalvo team.
Beyond his legal practice, Paul is actively engaged in his community. In 2016, he was elected to represent the 6th Circuit of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors, showcasing his commitment to the development and advancement of legal professionals. He is a proud member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, the St. Petersburg Bar Foundation, and a past participant in the Barney Masterson American Inn of Court—an organization uniting local attorneys and judges from both the private and public sectors.
Recognized for his excellence in the legal field, Paul was awarded a Gerald Bennet Scholarship by the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar in 2017. This prestigious scholarship enabled him to attend the Advanced International Trial Advocacy Program at Keble College, Oxford, England—an intensive week-long course renowned as the most demanding of its kind in the UK.
Consistently demonstrating exceptional legal acumen, Paul has been selected as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers every year from 2019 to 2023—a testament to his outstanding contributions to the legal community.
